Hi, I'm Beth!
For years, I worried that I would never succeed, never look good, and never be able to confidently put myself first without thinking that I was selfish, a bad mom, a bad employee, or letting others down.
I would rev up in the morning with coffee, calm down at night with wine. It was how I got through each day. I craved chocolate and other comfort foods. If I yelled at my kids, I wold beat myself up emotionally. Whenever I was treated disrespectfully or unfairly by others, I would crumble inside while remaining stoic on the outside, but later eat or drink to ease the hurt. I didn’t know how to stand up for myself.
For years, I was searching, searching, searching for meaning and purpose, particularly as a mom. Once I figured out the key to living an abundant and meaningful life, I found my purpose in helping others do the same.
I have a soft spot for moms and their children; raising kids is not easy, and so many conflicting messages come at us, it’s easy to feel like we’re failures if we’re not perfect. But who are we letting define those perimeters? Once I figured out why I was self-sabotaging and what to do about it, I dedicated my life to helping other moms find a better way, so that they are living an abundant and happy life!
I’ve been coaching individuals and moms for more than 10 years. With a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty University and life coach certification with Coach Training Alliance, I’ve had lots of practice both practically and academically. Oh, and I’m also a Brittany Watkins Certified Weight Loss Coach-EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
I’m an expert at lovingly helping you identify the triggers behind your emotional eating or other destructive behaviors and gently guiding you to process these traumas once and for all, so you can triumph over them in a short period of time. I’ll show you bow to feel great both in your skin and deep in your soul!
A Bit About Me
My husband, Cary, and I have been married for more than 30 years! I’ve given birth to 4 kids, so I’m no stranger to the havoc that kids can wreak on both your body and your emotions. I’ve gained weight-lost weight-gained more weight-lost more weight. Dieted. Binged. Dieted some more. Took crazy medicines that made me feel enraged and jittery. Tried HCG drops. I’ve been in great shape; I’ve been in horrible shape. Like many working moms, I’ve felt totally stressed and inadequate. I’ve been betrayed by people I’ve trusted. . . more than once. I know the pain of feeling like a loser inside while still projecting the picture of a winner on the outside. I know how food and drink can bring comfort or relieve stress, at least for a while. But I also know that that cycle just spirals downhill and never solves anything.
Professionally, I've helped moms and families for more than 10 years, The techniques I’ve mastered and applied to my own life are ones that I can teach you to apply to your life as well. You can succeed too! And once you put these into practice, they’ll become part of your life, and you will be equipped to boldly face the things that used to make you feel rotten about yourself and your abilities. You’ll have the tools you need to neutralize stress before you turn to food and other unhealthy habits. You’ll feel better about yourself, and your joy will be contagious.
